Why mosque committees choose our factory
Made to your minaret
We size the crescent from a photo of your minaret and the diameter of its top, so it looks right from the ground.
Aluminium that does not rust
Light on the minaret, rust resistant in humid and coastal cities, and more affordable than solid copper.
Copper for a traditional look
For mosques that want a classic finish, we also make copper crescents.
Finishes that last
Gold or silver finishes with UV and salt resistant coatings, and corrosion resistant fixings.
Qibla aligned
The crescent and its qamara are oriented towards the qibla during installation.
Optional lighting
Illuminated crescents keep the minaret visible at night.

Frequently asked questions
Is a crescent required on a mosque?
No. It is an architectural tradition, not a religious requirement.
Do you have a branch outside Egypt?
Yes, in Kuwait: +965 99350083 and +965 66521348.
Do you ship mosque crescents outside Egypt?
Yes. We ship to any country in the world, and we explain shipping in the quote.
What sizes can you make?
From 1 metre up to 15 metres, depending on the minaret or dome.
Which material is best?
Aluminium suits most mosques because it is light and does not rust. Copper is available for a traditional look.
Can you match an existing design?
Yes. Send photos of the existing crescent and we can reproduce or improve it.
Do you install?
We install in Egypt and arrange installation in other countries depending on the location. We also have a branch in Kuwait.
What is a mosque crescent?
A mosque crescent, also called a minaret finial or hilal, is the metal ornament fixed at the very top of a minaret or dome. It usually combines an open crescent at the top, a stack of spheres or rings below it known as the qamara, a mast, and a base that sits on the minaret tip.
The crescent is not a religious requirement of a mosque, but it has become the most recognisable sign of a mosque across the Muslim world. A well proportioned crescent completes the silhouette of the minaret and helps people find the mosque from far away.
Because it sits at the highest and most exposed point of the building, the material, coating and fixings matter more than the price tag. A cheap crescent that tilts or rusts after a few years costs more to replace than a good one costs to buy.
